Dave’s Cycle Tour

2nd March – 13th March 2018

Dave Clay has been enjoying cycling for 25 years.

On the 2nd March 2018 he embarks on his most important ride to date, covering nearly 900km through the wider Waikato area, helping to raise money for True Colours.

Dave and wife Louise, are the grandparents of Hadleigh Clay, a young boy supported by True Colours, and the ride is their way of giving something back for the support that True Colours has shown their grandson and extended family.

The Cycle Tour

Dave will set off from Cambridge and visit a total of 23 towns around the Waikato and Coromandel (the same area that True Colours covers). Daves route will take him to Cambridge, Te Awamutu, Otorohanga, Te Kuiti, Taumaranui, Mangakino, Tokoroa, Putaruru, Tirau, Matamata, Morrinsville, Te Aroha, Paeroa, Waihi, Whangamata, Tairua, Whitianga, Coromandel, Thames, Ngatea, Huntly, Ngarurawahia, Raglan and Hamilton.

Community Support

He will be helped out along the way by local Lions Clubs who will meet him and help him to raise funds on the day in the local towns. Dave will be easy to spot in his specially designed cycle-shirt, which has been kindly sponsored by Craigs Investment Partners and Cleland Hancox Ltd. This generous sponsorship has enabled the Clays to offer more of these shirts to others whose donations will benefit True Colours
