Chartwell Shoppers Wrapped To SUupport True Colours

Together with the communities across New Zealand Westfield’s nine centres raised over $72,000 for New Zealand charities who work to better the lives of Kiwi kids.

For an eighth year, Westfield Chartwell has offered a free Christmas gift wrapping service to shoppers who are invited to make a gold coin donation to a charity within the centre’s local community.

Westfield Chartwell’s Marketing Manager, Nicole Foster says, “Generous shoppers at Westfield Chartwell, raised an impressive $7,218 for True Colours Children’s Health Trust, a Waikato-based charity that supports seriously ill children, their whanau and community during their time of need.”

“We’re absolutely thrilled with the results from this project and would like to thank the local community for supporting True Colours throughout the month of December.”

Westfield General Manager, Linda Trainer says Westfield and the charities involved praised the generous support of New Zealand communities in this annual charity project.

“We are always astounded at the kindness of fellow Kiwis and how willing they are to support their local charities,” she says. “This project is unique as we are able to reach so many charities every year and were thrilled we could provide the vehicle to drive fundraising for them once again.”

The Westfield free gift wrapping fundraising project has raised close to $400,000 for various New Zealand charities since Westfield first introduced the gold coin donation for this service.

The gift wrapping service ran for two weeks leading up to Christmas.
