Cassie moved from the UK to New Zealand almost 8 years ago with her husband and 3 children, where she previously spent 12 years working as an operating department practitioner, providing peri-operative support during predominantly emergency and Obstetric surgery. 

Once in New Zealand, she completed her Bachelor degree in social work. Cassie’s prior social work experience involved supporting families and their children who are and have been effected by family violence. This involved group work with the children and holistic support for the family/whānau.

Supporting families has always been Cassie’s passion, she is empathetic and of a caring nature, who believes that its often the little things that count, that can really make a difference in peoples lives. Cassie works from an ecological perspective with a person centered and strengths based approach. 

Cassie provides support to our families to help navigate and process the challenges that are experienced due to the both serious and complex medical needs of the child.
