After 11 years volunteering on our Friends of True Colours fundraising committee, Heidi joined the team fulltime in 2021, and in June 2025, after a well planned transition period, moved into the CEO role.  She is responsible for the day to day running of True Colours and leading a team of highly skilled nurses, counsellors and a psychotherapist - as well as marketing, communications, funding and fundraising.

Heidi’s first-hand experience of knowing what it’s like to have a baby in NICU and having friends who have walked their child’s oncology pathway, has given Heidi a good understanding of the support True Colours provides, and she loves working at an organisation that aligns strongly with her personal values.
